The project site is located in a tropical region frequently affected by strong winds and tropical storms. Sudden high winds may overturn photovoltaic panels or damage mounting structures. Wind-driven sand and debris can strike panels at high speed, causing surface damage and potential shutdown of the solar power plant. In addition, the dust accumulation during the dry season on photovoltaic panels significantly reduces power generation efficiency.
SolutionA structurally reinforced steel windbreak fence system was installed to withstand continuous strong winds at typhoon levels. The fence system provides both wind protection and site boundary protection for the photovoltaic power plant.
ResultsThe windbreak fence effectively reduces wind velocity within the solar farm, protecting sensitive photovoltaic equipment. By blocking and promoting the settlement of dust and sand particles, the system significantly reduces cleaning and maintenance costs while improving long-term power generation performance.
