The basketball court is located in a region with a continental climate where strong winds occur throughout the year. During winter and spring, winds frequently reach Beaufort scale 5–8, significantly affecting normal court use. The client required a solution that would enable year-round use of the court, with daily availability from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
SolutionWe installed a four-sided windbreak fence system with a height of 5 meters around the court. The system also integrates additional functionality by using the windbreak fence columns as lighting poles equipped with LED lighting systems.
ResultsThe windbreak fence effectively protects the entire court, keeping strong winds outside while maintaining gentle airflow inside the playing area. Combined with adequate lighting, the facility now supports operation from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
