Guoyuan Port serves as a major inland bulk cargo transfer hub along the upper Yangtze River. Coal and ore stockpiles in open yards generate significant dust during storage and handling operations. With increasingly strict environmental regulations for inland ports in China, windbreak and dust suppression fences have become essential infrastructure for bulk cargo terminals.
SolutionA 16-meter-high windbreak and dust suppression fence system was installed. The system was integrated with the port’s enclosed belt conveyor corridors and dry and wet dust collection systems, forming a coordinated dust control system.
ResultsThe system significantly reduced dust dispersion, achieving the operational standard of “no visible ore during transport and loading,” which significantly improves the working conditions for employees. The project helped Guoyuan Port successfully pass environmental compliance acceptance and become a benchmark project for green and intelligent inland ports along the Yangtze River.
